International Travel Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Black Pearl Journeys. These International Travel Terms & Conditions apply to all travelers participating in trips, retreats, and services that involve travel outside their country of residence.

By booking or participating in an international experience with Black Pearl Journeys, you agree to these Terms in full.

1. Role of Black Pearl Journeys

Black Pearl Journeys acts as a travel planner and coordinator, not a direct provider of transportation, accommodations, or activities. Services are fulfilled by independent international suppliers, including airlines, hotels, resorts, ground operators, and excursion providers.

2. Eligibility & Traveler Responsibility

International travelers must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age unless otherwise stated

  • Provide accurate personal and travel information

  • Be legally eligible to enter all destination countries

You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with international travel laws and requirements.

3. International Bookings & Payments

Currency & Pricing

  • Prices may be listed in USD unless otherwise stated

  • Currency exchange rates are determined by banks or payment processors

  • Black Pearl Journeys is not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations or foreign transaction fees

Payment Schedules

  • Deposits and installment plans are trip-specific

  • Missed payments may result in automatic cancellation without refund

4. Cancellations, Refunds & International Transfers

​

Guest Cancellations

Due to international supplier commitments, all payments are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.

​

Name Transfers

  • Some international trips may allow transfers up to a specified date

  • Airline tickets and certain accommodations are non-transferable

  • Transfer fees may apply

​

Company Cancellations

Black Pearl Journeys reserves the right to modify or cancel trips due to:

  • Government travel advisories

  • Border closures or visa restrictions

  • Safety, health, or political instability

  • Force majeure events

Refunds are not guaranteed and may be issued as credits at our discretion.

5. Passports, Visas & Entry Requirements

Travelers are responsible for:

  • Valid passports (typically valid 6+ months beyond return date)

  • Required visas, transit visas, and entry permits

  • Vaccinations and health documentation

  • Customs and immigration compliance

Black Pearl Journeys is not liable for denied boarding, entry refusal, or deportation.

6. Health, Vaccinations & Medical Disclosure

International travel may involve exposure to different health risks.

By booking, you acknowledge:

  • You are medically fit to travel

  • You are responsible for required and recommended vaccinations

  • You will disclose relevant medical conditions when requested

Black Pearl Journeys is not responsible for medical care, emergencies, or health outcomes abroad.

7. Travel Insurance (Strongly Required)

International travelers are strongly encouraged—and in some cases required—to purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including:

  • Trip cancellation & interruption

  • Emergency medical & evacuation

  • Lost luggage & delays

Failure to secure insurance is at the traveler’s own risk.

8. Assumption of Risk – International Travel

You acknowledge that international travel carries inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Transportation delays

  • Political or civil unrest

  • Health risks

  • Cultural or legal differences

By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with international travel.

9. Liability Limitations

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Black Pearl Journeys is not liable for acts or omissions of international suppliers

  • We are not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages occurring abroad

  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid directly to us

10. Third-Party International Suppliers

Hotels, airlines, transportation providers, and tour operators operate under their own local laws and regulations. Any disputes must be resolved directly with the supplier under applicable foreign laws.

11. Conduct & Cultural Respect

Guests are expected to:

  • Respect local customs, laws, and traditions

  • Follow group guidelines and host instructions

Disruptive, illegal, or disrespectful behavior may result in removal from the trip without refund.

12. Photography, Media & International Use

You grant Black Pearl Journeys permission to use photos or videos taken during international trips for promotional purposes worldwide unless you opt out in writing prior to travel.

​

13. Data Protection & International Transfers

Your personal information may be processed or shared internationally to fulfill travel services. By booking, you consent to cross-border data transfers in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

​

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Black Pearl Journeys is registered. International disputes shall be resolved under U.S. jurisdiction unless otherwise required by law.

15. Changes to International Terms

We reserve the right to update these International Terms at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of any revisions.
